AZ-900

AZ-900 is a fundamental Azure certificate, proving you understand the basics of the Azure Platform. This is a great first step into the world of cloud computing and has many free resources available. This entry points allows you to grasp the different offerings of Azure and allows you the room to decide what path you want to go down, rather it is Azure AI, DevOps or Security.

The AZ-900 exam focuses on the following domains:

• Describe cloud concepts (25–30%)

• Describe Azure architecture and services (35–40%)

• Describe Azure management and governance (30–35%)

Many free tools exist but I will link my personal favorites. This includes Microsoft Learning and John Savill's YouTube.

Regarding paid tools, I did pay for WhizLabs as it allows for an Azure sandbox, along with practice labs and questions, allowing you to gain hands-on experience without having to pay for Azure directly.

As a student you can open a free Azure account with $200 in credits for you to use. This is a great tool to get hands-on experience.
